Look what I found!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Saturday :) I'm very excited today! This morning, we went to some garage sales around the area...you never know what are you going to find in these places!! On a table, in the corner, there was a wooden box with all these treasures, 23 rubber stamps! Every time I go to the Post Office I see some of them. I always wanted to have the "First class", "Special Delivery", "Fragile", "Do Not Bend" one. Well, now I have all of them. I bought the whole box for..ONE dollar! (less than 1 euro) Can you believe that?

Espero que todos esten teniendo un hermoso sabado :) Yo estoy super contenta hoy! Esta manana fuimos a mirar algunas ventas de garage por aqui cerca...uno nunca sabe con que se encontrara en estos lugares! Sobre una mesa, en una esquina, estaba esta caja de madera con todos estos tesoros, 23 sellos de correo!(tampones)! Cada vez que voy al correo veo alguno de ellos y siempre quise tener los que dicen: "First Class", "Special Delivery", "Fragile", "Do Not Bend". Bueno ahora los tengo todos, compre la caja entera por..UN dolar!(0,80 euros). No se puede creer!

These have caught all my attention. When I tried to use them, I found out that the date was set a long time ago. One of the dates was Mar 30, 1989, the other one, was Sept 1992. I wonder if the last time they were used was more than 20 year ago?!....

Estos captaron toda mi atencion. Cuando intente usarlos me di cuenta que la fecha que tenian era de hace muchisimo. Una de las fechas era 30 de marzo de 1989 y la otra, septiembre de 1992. Me pregunto si la ultima vez que estos tampones fueron usados fue mas de 20 anios atras??!

This is a special picture for all my penpals. Is anyone interested in receiving one of these 2 rubber stamps (Special Delivery or Rush)? I have doubles :) If so, please let me know below which one you would like to have and I'll pick two people. This is all for now! Hope you like my finds :)

Esta es una foto especial para las chicas con las que ya me escribo ^^ Alguna de ustedes esta interesada en recibir uno de estos tampones? Los tengo repetidos :) Si alguna quiere, me deja dicho abajo cual le gustaria recibir y yo elegire dos personas. Esto es todo por ahora. Espero les hayan gustado mis nuevos tesoros :)

April Mail Update

Here is all the mail I received in April, a total of 48 envelopes, among letters and swaps. Most of them came from Spain, but I also got mail from Puerto Rico,  US,  UK, Brazil, Canada, Argentina, Chile, Mexico and Netherlands.

Aqui esta toda la correspondencia recibida en Abril, un total de 48 sobres, entre cartas e intercambios. La mayoria de ellos vinieron desde Espana, pero tambien recibi de Puerto Rico, US, Reino Unido, Brasil, Canada, Argentina, Chile, Mexico y Holanda.

All the postcards I got, since some of my penpals know I only collect Spain postcards, they normally
 add some in the letters. One of my pals sent me 14 postcards from Salamanca, what a joy! Look at the Mickey Mouse one, how cute ^^

Estas son todas las postales que recibi, como muchos de mis penpals saben que solo colecciono postales de Espana, suelen enviarme algunas junto con las cartas. Una de mis amigas me envio 14 postcards de Salamanca, que maravilla! Mira la de Mickey Mouse, que divina!

More goodies...candies, headbands, notebook, erasers, tea, a Mothers's Day card, earrings, pens, FB's, flyers, paper clips and paintings made by one of my pals.

Mas cositas...dulces, vinchas para el cabello, libreta, gomas de borrar, saquitos de te, una tarjeta, pendientes, bolis, FB's, folletos, clips y pinturas hechas por una de mis penpals.

The favorite goodies! Scrapbooking papers and embellishments, used stamps and tickets. I'll use these for my Mail-Art.

Went shopping..

Hi all! Hope everybody is doing great^^ I know it has been awhile since my last post but I need more time to organize my April mail to show you what I received,  before that, a real quick post! I have a friend in Argentina who also loves scrapbooking so I promised I'd buy her some stuff here for when I come back home in a couple of months. I went to AC Moore this morning, and I have to tell, I had fun looking for her supplies, taking pictures to show her and, of course, getting some stuff for me too. I decided to show you the inside -and outside- of one of my fav crafts stores :D Here you can see an aisle of  K & Company stickers, which I really love!

Espero que esten bien ^^ Se que ha pasado bastante desde mi ultimo post pero aun necesito mas tiempo para organizar la correspondencia del mes de abril y mostrarles lo recibido, antes de esto, un post rapidito! tengo una amiga en Argentina que tambien adora hacer scrapbooking asique le prometi que le compraria algunas cositas aqui y darselas cuando regrese a casa en un par de meses. Fui a AC Moore esta manana, y debo confesar que me diverti buscando cosas para ella y sacandole fotos para mostrarle y obvio, comprando algunas cosas para ambas. Decidi mostrarles esta tienda, una de mis preferidas, de afuera y adentro. Aqui esta la parte de stickers de K& Company, que me encantan !

Saturday finds

Hey there! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Today is a rainy, chilly day here in NC, perfect to do some crafts, and letter writing. Do you know what is one of the things I adore in summer time? Going to garage sales!! I enjoy looking at all the stuff other people don't want anymore.  Sometimes, I find very interesting items. Before sharing what I found yesterday, let me tell you something about this 'american sport'. Yard sales or garage sales take place on Saturdays morning, usually from 7 till 12, as the sign says. This one was a whole neighborhood yard sale, people interested in selling their stuff put them out of their houses, in the driveway, in the yard, etc. Also, people put signs on the roads.


Hola! Espero que esten teniendo un magnifico finde. Hoy es un dia lluvioso y fesquito aqui en Carolina del Norte, perfecto para hacer algunas manualidades y escribir cartas. Sabes cual es una de las cosas que me encantan del verano? Ir a los garage sale! Me gusta mirar todas las cosas de las que la gente se quiere deshacer. Algunas veces, se encuentran cosas interesantes. Antes de compartir lo que encontre ayer, les contare alguna cosa sobre este 'deporte americano'. Las ventas de garage normalmente son los sabados a la manana, desde las 7 hasta las 12, como indica el cartel. Esta fue una venta de garage en toda una comunidad, la gente que esta interesada en vender sus cosas las pone fuera de las casas, en el garage, sobre el piso, sobre el pasto, en mesas etc. Tambien se colocan carteles en los caminos.

Me encanta cuando veo senales como esta! Se tienen que seguir todas los carteles hasta encontrar la venta de garage.

This is what I found: one set of cards/ envelopes and one set of papers/ envelopes, all for one dollar ^^ (less than one euro)

Esto es lo que encontre: un set de tarjetas y sobres y un set de papel de carta con sus sobres, todo por un dolar (menos de un euro)

A pretty notebook and a set of sticky tabs, all for fifty cents ^^

Una bonita libreta y muchos sticky notes, todo por cincuenta centavos de dolar ^^

and last, this set of 12 beautiful greeting cards for one dollar, not bad at all!
All this was found in different garage sales.  Sometimes you find interesting what other people think is useless.
